Mining History Research Day

Interested in knowing more about the history of a mine in El Dorado County?  Bring your question to us!  Call us at 530-621-5865 or email us in advance with your questions about a particular mine, and ask for "Bill"!  Mining History Research Day is usually scheduled on the last Saturday of the Month (Jan, March, April, May, July, August, October)

Bring us  the name of a mine to Research!

Bill Gray, County Museum Volunteer, has specialized his research on the mines in El Dorado County.  What makes the Mining History Research Day special is the thousands of digitized mining photographs, over 2,000 digitized mining folders of information, historical maps showing mining claims, and the largest California Dredge photo collection in California, only available on these scheduled days.
