Ellen has photos and stories about the history of Highway 50.  Ever changing on its way to becoming modern Highway 50,  Ellen will take us on a trip through time where we will meet the famous and infamous who walked or rode into California following the emigrant’s foot steps. 

Ellen Osborn is a long-time volunteer with the El Dorado County Historical Museum, has researched and walked the emigrant trails into El Dorado County, and is a descendant of John Johnson, the founder of Johnson's Cut-off
